Prima I
UNHHot rocky
Scorched inner world, too close to the star for practical development. Automated solar collection arrays only.
Tau Ceti
Humanity's first interstellar colony, settled immediately after the invention of the 5D Translation Generator in 2450 for Salvation's Earth-like conditions. Six centuries of development have made it the second most populous system after Sol and the birthplace of the colonial economy: practical, industrious, and quietly resentful of Earth's aristocratic pretensions.
Hot rocky
Scorched inner world, too close to the star for practical development. Automated solar collection arrays only.
Hot rocky
Second inner world, similar to Prima I. Minimal development.
Warm terrestrial
The prize: a world that needed minimal terraforming, with breathable atmosphere, liquid water and tolerable gravity. A population of 8 billion across multiple continents makes it the beating heart of colonial humanity.
Temperate super-Earth
Agricultural world with higher gravity than Earth-standard, but within tolerable range. Vast automated farms feed Prima and export to other systems, with 2 billion permanent residents in processing centres and port cities plus seasonal workers.
Cold rocky
Cold outer rocky world. Limited mining operations and a small permanent population in the tens of thousands.
Gas dwarf
Small gas world. Atmospheric mining for industrial gases from orbital processing stations.
Gas giant
The system's major gas giant. Volatile harvesting operations, with moons hosting perhaps fifty million across several settlements.
Ice giant
Outer ice giant. Minimal development, automated fuel harvesting.
Outer dwarf
Distant dwarf planet. Scientific outposts only.
Debris belt
Outer system debris field. Mining operations extract metals and volatiles, with scattered habitats and a transient population.
